Make a Planned Gift to MRA
Bequests
By making a bequest to MRA – a gift in your will or living trust that costs you nothing in your lifetime – you can ensure future funding for melanoma research for years to come. Bequests are flexible and may be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your assets, specific assets, or what’s left after making certain other dispositions of your assets.
If you already have a will and would like to add the Melanoma Research Alliance as a beneficiary, you can do so by adding as little as one sentence to complete your gift:
“I give to the Melanoma Research Alliance Foundation, of Washington, DC, Tax ID #26-1636099 (all or ___ percent of) the rest, residue and remainder of my estate for its general purposes.” Or “I give to the Melanoma Research Alliance Foundation, of Washington, DC”, Tax ID 26-1636099, the sum of $______ for its general purpose.”

Beneficiary Gifts through Retirement Plans & Bank Accounts
You may designate the Melanoma Research Alliance as the primary or contingent beneficiary through your retirement plan such as an IRA, 401(k), or 403(b), life insurance policy or other account. This is a simple and powerful way to support lifesaving melanoma research without updating your will.
- Contact your plan administrator or financial institution for a change of beneficiary form.
- On the beneficiary form, decide what percentage (up to 100%) you would like us to receive. Please list us as:
